Repairs with Ryder Resize & Redesign

Ryder specialises in working with existing garments to extend their life and reduce waste as well as teaching hands-on and fun sustainable craft workshops.

Workshops

Ryder runs engaging sustainable craft classes that transform reclaimed textiles into playful, practical creations. Each workshop shows how pre-loved materials can be given a second life instead of heading to landfill, blending creativity with conscious making.

From bedazzling and customising clothing to weaving water-bottle holders from recycled T-shirts, participants learn simple, hands-on techniques for repairing, embellishing, and reimagining textiles. You can find out about and book Ryder's upcoming workshops on Humanatix.

About Ryder

Ryder comes from a graphic design background, with studies in fine art and pattern making, and has been sewing since childhood. Their practice is rooted in slow fashion, traditional practices, vintage restoration, environmental impact, and a deep love of working with reclaimed and existing materials.

Specialising in clothing repairs, resizing & redesigns. Ryder sees garments as a form of self-expression — choosing a garment that aligns with one’s desired self-image, helps you feel empowered.

Your Clothing is a chance to add a touch of personality a piece of you. Your values, your identity, your voice. Even in a small repair.

Resizing or Redesigning a garment so it actually fits your body/ identity, can be a game changer for your confidence. And will affect how you step out into the world.
And those favourite pieces, that have been sitting in your wardrobe unworn can finally become the pieces you reach for everyday.

Start the day dressed to impress - happy, comfortable, confident, empowered and aligned.

Their passion for repair grew while restoring vintage pieces they were selling, realising that reworking and fixing what we already own. Was a chance to add creativity.

You’ll find Ryder hosting workshops and working in the repair tent at Re Place, helping clothes (and self expression) live longer.
